The meeting, which was also attended by chief of police Ivica Franic, the head of the Crime Police Department, Zeljko Cvrtila, the head of the Office for the Prevention of Corruption and Organised Crime, Zeljko Zganjer and deputy chief prosecutors Dragan Novosel and Petar Pulisevic, focused on cooperation between the police and the State Prosecutor's Office.
They said the cooperation was good but insufficiently effective, notably in processing of cases of organised crime.
It was agreed that joint teams on state and local levels would be established as soon as possible so as to increase the effectiveness of investigations, the statement said.
