Croatia launches electronic registration of crews on charter yachts

ZAGREB, July 15 (Hina) - Croatian companies which charter boats do nolonger have to physically come to port authority offices and registercrew members on their boats. As of 13 July they can register theircrew electronically from their offices, marinas or yachts.
ZAGREB, July 15 (Hina) - Croatian companies which charter boats do no longer have to physically come to port authority offices and register crew members on their boats. As of 13 July they can register their crew electronically from their offices, marinas or yachts.

The new e-business system enables security protected transactions with the electronic signature and the so-called smart cards.

The system, which operates 24 hours a day, currently includes 209 charter companies with 1,957 yachts.
