Zagrebacka Banka (ZABA), Privredna Banka Zagreb (PBZ) and Erste & Steiermarkische Bank (ESB) granted a total 76.33 billion kuna worth of loans by the end of last year, or 54 per cent of all loans granted in 2004, according to the Privredni Vjesnik bulletin's special edition Banke.
ZABA granted 16.67 billion kuna to citizens and 14.45 billion kuna to companies in 2004, for a total of 31.7 billion kuna, an annual increase of 15.8 per cent. ZABA accounted for more than 22 per cent of all loans granted by 31 December 2004.
PBZ followed, with 11.38 billion kuna granted to citizens and 8.95 billion kuna granted to companies.
ESB came third when it came to loans granted to companies, with 7.27 billion kuna, but fourth in terms of loans granted to citizens -- 6.5 billion kuna.
Raiffeisenbank Austria was third when it came to loans granted to citizens with 7.5 billion kuna, and fourth in terms of loans granted to companies -- 5.15 billion kuna.
