According to those figures, in this year's first five months a total of 100 cruise ships were sailing along the Adriatic which is 19 percent more than in the same period the year before. There were 95,352 passengers on those ships which is 20.8 percent more than the year before.
Passengers on cruise ship this year stayed in Croatia longer than last year, namely a total of 142 days which is 31.5 percent more than in the same period in 2004.
The majority of the cruise ships (26) came from Italy. Ships sailing under the flag of Marshal Islands follow (14), Great Britain (7), the Netherlands (6), Finland (5), France (4), Malta and St. Vincent and the Grenadines (three each), Bermuda, Norway and Greece (two each) and Denmark and Germany (one ship each)
