ZAGREB, June 19(Hina) - The Zagreb-based company "Dalekovod" is
expected to start installing, by the end of June, the first power transmission
line in Iceland, which is part of a EUR24.5 million project to instal power
transmission lines for Iceland's national high-voltage transmission network
operator LandNet. Representatives of the company from Zagreb have
said "Dalekovod" applied for the project as part of a consortium including a
company from the European Union. The contract envisages the installation of
pylons and conductors for the 420-kilovolt, 126.7-kilometre transmission line
Sultartangalina 3, and for the 102.7-kilometre transmission line
Fljotsdalslinur.
Earlier this year the same investor awarded "Dalekovod" a EUR3.04
million project to deliver transmission line equipment.
