This is the sixth such intervention this year and the second this month.
The central bank bought the 28.8 million euros at a mean exchange rate of 7.321163 kuna per euro. In all six interventions, the bank bought a total of 293.2 million euros.
According to today's exchange rate, the kuna has gained 0.05 per cent against the euro since the start of this week, but dropped by 0.03 per cent when compared to yesterday's exchange rate.
The HNB mean exchange rate of the euro on Friday was 7.300055 kuna.
The kuna has also gained against the US dollar (0.74 per cent) and the Swiss franc (0.38 per cent). Friday's HNB mean exchange rate of the dollar was 6.019671 kuna and that of the Swiss franc was 4.731079 kuna.
On the other hand, the kuna has weakened against the British pound by 0.44 per cent, with Friday's mean exchange rate of the pound being 10.984133 kuna.
