The bridge was built on the location of the old Maslenica bridge that was destroyed during the Serb aggression on Croatia on November 21, 1991.
The Ministry has invested 59.8 million kuna into the bridge.
The new bridge is 315.3 metres long, 10.5 metres wide, and it stands 55 metres above the sea.
Since it has a better position than the existing Maslenica bridge, this bridge will be used as an alternative traffic route in cases when the Maslenica bridge is closed due to gale force winds.
