The book was translated into Farsi, which is spoken by 70 million people in Iran, by Achtar Etemadi, who used the Esperanto edition issued by the Croatian Esperanto Alliance.
Thanks to the Alliance, Brlic Mazuranic's book was already translated into Japanese and will soon be translated into Chinese and Bengali.
The Persian edition, published by Kanoon Parvaresh Fekri Koodakan va Nojavanan, was richly illustrated by Iranian graphic artist Mohamad Reza Lavasani.
"The Marvellous Adventures and Misadventures of Hlapic the Apprentice" has also been translated into Czech, Slovak, German, Macedonian, Romanian, and Spanish.
