ZAGREB, June 6 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polancec is taking part in the 93rd annual session of the International Labour Organisation, which is being held from 31 May to 16 June in Geneva.

Polancec, who is at the helm of Croatia's trilateral delegation including representatives of the government, trade unions and employers, on Monday told the gathered that his country was willing to join a global alliance in the fight against forced labour, poverty, discrimination, social marginalisation and trafficking in human beings, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Monday.

Polancec commended a report on "A Global Alliance Against Forced Labour" which the ILO recently published.

The Croatian official also spoke about the level of the protection of human rights in his country.

Vera Babic, tha State Secretary in the Croatian Ministry of the Economy and Labour, told the Geneva event that Croatia had so far signed all the 57 conventions within ILO's jurisdiction.

The ILO conference has pooled 4,000 deputies from 178 member-countries. Croatia joined this organisation in 1992.
