Subasic told BBC Croatia that ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte would on Monday inform Luxembourg's Presidency of the EU of her impressions from Zagreb and that after the talks, Luxembourg's presidency would decide whether or not a task force for Croatia should meet again, or whether the issue of Croatia's candidacy would be included in the agenda of the next EU summit.
Therefore I would like to dismiss this information released by Reuters, Subasic told BBC.
Citing an unnamed EU diplomat, Reuters said the European Union would at its summit in June most probably decide that Croatia made progress in resolving the Ante Gotovina case, adding, however, that the Union would stress that the country needed to continue investing efforts to hunt down one of the top war crimes fugitives.
"However, the bottom line is that, for the moment, cooperation cannot be described as full. That is the text and she (del Ponte) will not change it," Reuters quoted the senior EU diplomat as saying after attending a del Ponte briefing.
