The exhibition, the first of its kind in Croatia, features Newton's photos from the cycles "Cyberwoman", "Special Collection" and "Sumo", which were made in the 1970s, as well as several other photos. The photos on display are owned by a collector from Ljubljana.
Helmut Newton (born in 1929 in Berlin, died in 2004 in Hollywood) started his career in Australia. In the late 1950s he developed a unique style of fashion and erotic photography. He gained fame with fashion and erotic photos that were published in the magazines "Playboy", "Stern", "Elle", and "Vogue".
His works were first put on display when he was 55.
The Rijeka exhibition will be open until June 19.
