Representatives of associations for the protection of consumers will make up one third of the Council which will solve contentious issues between telephone service providers and users.
Parliament also adopted a new environmental protection law which foresees the participation of local self-government units and citizens in the adoption of plans for managing protected areas.
Parliament ratified a number of international conventions and agreements, including two framework loan agreements between Croatia and the Council of Europe Development Bank for the financing of the reconstruction and building of schools in Croatia and for infrastructure on islands.
Also amended was a decision on the order and pace of the privatisation of INA which postponed the sale of shares of the national oil company until the end of this year.
Deputies adopted regulations on accreditation of journalists covering the work of parliament, on the media coverage of parliament sessions and on organised visits of citizens to parliament.
The Croatian parliament ended its Friday's session and will resume its 14th session on Tuesday.
