"I did not hold talks with Marovic, but neither Croatia nor any other free European country can tolerate the equation of the Chetnik with the anti-fascist movement," Sanader said answering a reporter's question whether he met the president of Serbia and Montenegro, Svetozar Marovic, during the summit and if they discussed a Chetnik rally held recently at the Ravna Gora hills in Serbia.
In cooperation with other parties, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) will propose to parliament to adopt a document condemning the Chetnik movement putting it where it belongs, the Croatian PM said.
"The Chetnik movement in Croatia had done a lot of evils, committed mass murders and had absolutely collaborated with fascism and Nazism, therefore it must be condemned, while anti-fascism is in the foundations of contemporary Europe and Croatia," Sanader said.
