After the solemn liturgy, the bishop wished all the believers a happy Easter and thanked the Catholic Church in Croatia and the state authorities for their best wishes.
The congregation traditionally heard a pastoral letter from Patriarch Pavle, in which the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, among other things, remembered the suffering of prisoners of the notorious World War Two Jasenovac concentration camp and their break-out from the camp 60 years ago.
Patriarch Pavle also mentioned the Orthodox faithful in Kosovo, calling on them to give their praises to the God of peace, love and forgiveness.
