ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - Croatia's national committee for theprevention of human trafficking on Wednesday adopted a report on theimplementation of the national plan for the prevention of humantrafficking in 2004.
ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - Croatia's national committee for the prevention of human trafficking on Wednesday adopted a report on the implementation of the national plan for the prevention of human trafficking in 2004.

An effective legal framework and system of prevention and prosecution of perpetrators has been established, the session heard. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor.

Nineteen victims of human trafficking were identified in 2004 and four this year, which indicates that Croatia is becoming a destination of human trafficking.

The national committee adopted a protocol for identifying, protecting and helping victims of human trafficking.
