"We are going to wait another week or two for the expiration of a reasonable deadline," Ivanic said in an interview for Sarajevo-based Oslobodjenje daily of Thursday and added he would ask the Bosnian Presidency to recall its decision to appoint Kesic unless Croatia sent a positive answer in the near future,
All other candidates for Bosnia's ambassadors nominated "in the package" with Kesic have already received confirmation from countries they are accredited to and the only post missing a formal consent is the one in Zagreb. Consent is usually given within 60 days.
Kesic was nominated Bosnia's ambassador to Croatia three months ago. A part of his biography referring to the war time when he was one of the directors in the Bureau for the Building of Banja Luka proved to be contentious.
Some media in Croatia suspected Kesic of having actively participated in the ethnic cleansing of Banja Luka.
