The composition of the Kosovo government, which is made up of the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo and the Alliance for Kosovo's Future, has been slightly changed, with two new ministers having been appointed - Ardina Gjini and Ibrahim Selamanaj, who are both from the Alliance for Kosovo's Future. Kosumi, too, is a member and vice-president of this party, while other government members, elected three and a half months ago, are the same. After the new cabinet was elected, Kosumi and the new ministers were sworn in.
Deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, led by Hashim Thaqi, voted against the new government members and the prime minister.
Kosumi was nominated by former Prime Minister Haradinaj, and his appointment was also supported by Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova.
