ZAGREB, March 9 (Hina) - The National Security Council held a sessionon Wednesday discussing the activities of competent state bodies andthe State Prosecutor's Office taken to resolve the case of AnteGotovina, the fugitive general
wanted by the Hague war crimestribunal, the government said in a press release.
ZAGREB, March 9 (Hina) - The National Security Council held a session
on Wednesday discussing the activities of competent state bodies and the State
Prosecutor's Office taken to resolve the case of Ante Gotovina, the fugitive
general wanted by the Hague war crimes tribunal, the government said in a press
release.The session was chaired by President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister
Ivo Sanader.
In order to step up effectiveness, the council initiated the amendment
of laws on security services and data secrecy, and appointed a task force to
draw up the amendments.
The National Security Council session was preceded by a session of the
Coordinating Body of Security Services and the Interior Ministry, and a session
of the Council for the Coordination of Security Services.
