ZAGREB, March 1 (Hina) - The Office for the Prevention of Corruptionand Organised Crime (USKOK) has forwarded criminal charges pressed byForeign Ministry employee Davorin Zagorscek against former ForeignMinister Tonino Picula and
another five employees of the ministry, tothe Municipal State Prosecutor's Office in Zagreb, because there is nofounded suspicion that a crime had been committed.
ZAGREB, March 1 (Hina) - The Office for the Prevention of Corruption
and Organised Crime (USKOK) has forwarded criminal charges pressed by Foreign
Ministry employee Davorin Zagorscek against former Foreign Minister Tonino
Picula and another five employees of the ministry, to the Municipal State
Prosecutor's Office in Zagreb, because there is no founded suspicion that a
crime had been committed.USKOK director Zeljko Zganjer said on Tuesday that nothing indicated
that a crime within the USKOK jurisdiction was committed and added that charges
were forwarded to the Municipal State Prosecutor's Office in Zagreb.
Picula and another five Foreign Ministry employees are suspected of
enabling and then covering the robbery of the Croatian Embassy in Belgrade.
Picula dismissed the accusations.
