Sarmadi said Iranian President Mohammad Hatami's visit to Croatia, expected early next month, would contribute to the further development of the two countries' friendly relations.
Sarmadi also spoke of Iran's nuclear programme, saying it was not of a military nature but served for peacetime purposes only, the statement said.
Jandrokovic spoke of Croatia's political goals and its efforts to join the European Union and NATO.
Asked about the future of Kosovo, Jandrokovic said Croatia advocated a solution which would guarantee the protection of human and minority rights, peace and stability.
The two officials also said it was necessary to further develop Croatia-Iran parliamentary cooperation.
