Every year the conference pools more than 200 participants from some 40 countries, including government and parliament members, senior military officials, scientists and representatives of the media.
On Sunday Zuzul took part in a panel discussion on the future role of the United Nations in the strengthening of global security, with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan delivering an introductory speech.
Zuzul spoke about the success of the UN peace mission in Croatia which enabled the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube region.
He also pointed to the importance of trans-Atlantic cooperation as a precondition of successful functioning of international organisations such as the UN and NATO and supported Annan's initiative to set up a UN committee for peace building.
On the margins of the conference Minister Zuzul held a number of meetings focusing on Croatia's admission to the UN and NATO, the statement said.
