Spokesman for the ministry Zlatko Mehun said that Antonija Knezevic was briefly interviewed by Karlovac police on Thursday. The reporter voted in Karlovac shortly after the opening of polling stations at 7 a.m., but later in the day she also cast her ballot in Mostar, using her Croatian passport and Bosnian ID card, in order to prove that the abuse of electoral rights was possible.
The reporter and her colleague with whom she wrote the article about voting twice, submitted the article to the police and explained her reasons why she voted twice,
Deputy State Prosecutor Dragan Novosel said no charges were pressed against the reporter yet, but added tat the Prosecutor's Office would decided what to do after carefully examining the police report.
"The reporter says her intention was not to harm anyone but to prove it was possible to manipulate with the votes," Novosel said.
