Dubravko Belavic from the Croatian consulate general in Mostar, in charge of coordinating the voting, said that the number of voters coming to the polls late this afternoon and in the evening was increasing and that some voters had to wait for 50 minutes to cast their ballots.
There were occasional queues in front of the polling stations, but no incidents were reported, Belavic told Hina.
According to figures released by the Croatian consulate general in the northwestern Bosnian city of Banja Luka, the turnout was rather low, with 255 of some 6,000 eligible voters having cast their ballots by 14:00 hrs.
In the western town of Jajce, 360 of 5,750 registered voters went to the polls by 14:00 hrs.
In the town of Bihac, 620 out of 8,600 voters went to the polls by 14:00 hrs.
