ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - The chief imam of the Islamic community in Osijek, Enes Efendi Poljic, journalist Drago Hedl, and Assistant Family, War Veterans and Inter-Generation Solidarity Minister Ivan Grujic are this year's recipients of
Croatian Helsinki Committee on Human Rights annual awards.
ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - The chief imam of the Islamic community in
Osijek, Enes Efendi Poljic, journalist Drago Hedl, and Assistant Family, War
Veterans and Inter-Generation Solidarity Minister Ivan Grujic are this year's
recipients of Croatian Helsinki Committee on Human Rights annual awards. Poljic received the Masovic-Vincetic-Nikolic Award for advancing
interreligious dialogue and religious tolerance.
Hedl received the Josko Kulusic Award for promoting human rights in the
media.
Grujic received the Miko Tripalo Award for protecting and promoting
human rights in the activity of bodies of authority beyond the call of duty.
The awards were presented on the occasion of International Human Rights
Day, which is observed on 10 December.
