Glavas was taken into custody in the Zagreb detention centre on 26 October on suspicion of his involvement in war crimes against civilians in Osijek, and since then he has been on a hunger strike.
"Investigating judge Zdenko Posavec has terminated the detention of my client, and I still do not know reasons for this move," lawyer Ante Madunic told Hina.
He added that he was now on his way to the Zagreb County Court to take over a ruling on the detention's discontinuation.
Madunic also said that his first job now would be to ensure an ambulance to transfer hunger-striking Glavas from the prison hospital to a civilian hospital.
The spokesman for the Zagreb Court said he could say nothing about Glavas's release and that he had no information about the termination of his detention.
