Opening the conference, Croatian Assistant Culture Minister Branka Sulc said that this was the first conference of this kind in Croatia and that it would bring closer to its participants the cooperation between museums, libraries and archives that has existed in European countries for a decade.
Participants in the conference were acquinted with the legacy, archives and memorial collections of some Croatian writers.
A survey was conducted on the presentation and preservation of Croatia's literary heritage, which is to be used in making a museum register of Croatian writers.
Heads of museums and great world writers' collections spoke to Croatian experts about their experience.
