The two countries should make use of the fact that there is no language barrier between them and that their technologies complement one another to a great extent, Vidosevic said.
Although it is still insufficient, bilateral trade is more and more balanced, but it should reach at least one billion US dollars, considering the interest and the potential, Vidosevic said.
Serbian Chamber of the Economy head Slobodan Milosavljevic pointed to several major Croatian investments in Serbia, saying that investors like Agrokor or Nexe Group were employing new workers, paying taxes and exporting from Serbia.
He called on Croatian business people to make use of the fact that Serbia is the only country in the region to have signed a free trade agreement with the Russian Federation and to use the enormous potential of the Russian market in cooperation with Serbian companies.
He also called for closer cooperation in the power industry, transport, trade, tourism, etc.
After the forum, business people from 49 Croatian and 46 Serbian companies held individual meetings.
