Negotiating positions for an Intergovernmental Conference on Croatia's accession to the EU were adopted for the following chapters -- the right of establishment and freedom to provide services, the right of intellectual ownership, economic and monetary union, and enterprise and industry.
Yesterday the National Committee monitoring negotiations with the EU agreed to the negotiating positions for those chapters.
The Croatian government has submitted to Brussels negotiating positions on three chapters -- science and research, education and culture, and the customs union
The EU has not set benchmarks for opening negotiations on said seven chapters.
Negotiations were opened and closed for only one chapter -- science and research.
Negotiations on chapters for which the EU has not set benchmarks will begin once the Union agrees its own negotiating positions.
