The two parties are expected to agree on the content of the agreement in the next two months and the agreement will be the basis for their election platforms.
HSS leader Josip Friscic said that the agreement was based on a joint platform of the two centrist parties which support national strategic goals such as economic growth, health reforms, social issues, education etc.
HSLS leader Djurdja Adlesic said that a centrist political force was established with the agreement.
Asked what the agreement meant in relation to the ruling HDZ party and the main opposition party, the SDP, Adlesic and Friscic said that it only regulated relations between the HSLS and the HSS, but that other parties could join as well if accepted by the two parties.
