MOSTAR, Oct 16 (Hina) - Two Bosnian Croat parties - the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) and the Croatian Democratic Union 1990, (HDZ 1990), that won the majority of vote from the Croat electorate, said on Monday they were not surprised by the coalition between two Bosnian Muslim parties - the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and the Party for Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The SDA and the Party for Bosnia-Herzegovina said last weekend they agreed to form a coalition despite the fact that they were fierce opponents during the election campaign. The two parties' presidents, Sulejman Tihic and Haris Silajdzic, also ran one against the other for the Bosniak member of the Bosnian collective presidency.

Spokesman for the HDZ 1990 Drazenko Primorac said today that the new coalition between the SDA and the Party for Bosnia-Herzegovina was no surprise because both parties were centre right parties and had similar programmes.

Spokesman for the HDZ BiH Miso Relota said a coalition between the two Muslim parties was expected.
