Information about preparations for the issuing of an indictment against Dudakovic was confirmed by Dejan Miletic, who headed the Serb entity's office for relations with the Hague tribunal at the time.
The Bosnian Serb authorities launched an investigation against Dudakovic after obtaining reports that soldiers from his personal security team killed between 25 and 30 Serb civilians near a motel at the entrance to the town of Bosanski Petrovac on 14 or 15 September 1995.
A former member of the Bosnian Army Fifth Corps testified before Bosnian Serb authorities about the crime and at the time expressed readiness to testify before the Hague tribunal.
Dudakovic dismissed the accusations, saying that the Fifth Corps had fought honorably.
