ZAGREB, Aug 5 (Hina) - Representatives of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the ministries of defence, the interior and war veterans, the Croatian Democratic Union and the Zagreb branch of the Association of Disabled
War Veterans (HVIDRA) on Saturday laid wreaths and lit candles at Zagreb's Mirogoj cemetery on the occasion of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and the 11th anniversary of Operation Storm.
ZAGREB, Aug 5 (Hina) - Representatives of the President of the
Republic, the Prime Minister, the ministries of defence, the interior and war
veterans, the Croatian Democratic Union and the Zagreb branch of the
Association of Disabled War Veterans (HVIDRA) on Saturday laid wreaths and lit
candles at Zagreb's Mirogoj cemetery on the occasion of Victory and Homeland
Thanksgiving Day and the 11th anniversary of Operation Storm. The
delegation representing President Stjepan Mesic also laid wreaths and lit
candles by the Central Cross in the Croatian War Veterans Lane.
Representatives of the government, the ministries of defence, the
interior and war veterans, and the Croatian Democratic Union laid wreaths in
front of the Central Cross and at the grave of the first Croatian President,
Franjo Tudjman. The HDZ delegation also visited the Homeland Altar on Mt.
Medvednica overlooking Zagreb.
The Zagreb HVIDRA branch laid wreaths by the Central Cross, at the
graves of President Franjo Tudjman and the war time minister of defence, Gojko
Susak, and at the Homeland Altar.
