On Tuesday, Sanader met British Prime Minister Tony Blair and business people from the City of London, while on Wednesday he visited the Bank of England where he presented the current political and economic situation in Croatia.
British business people were interested in a wide range of areas, from the political stability of the country and its role in Southeast Europe to such specific issues as the restructuring of the shipbuilding and metal industries, development of tourism and construction of golf courses.
Croatia was particularly interested in Britain's experience with public-private partnerships, with Sanader proposing that a joint conference on the topic be organised in Zagreb or Dubrovnik this autumn.
Sanader expressed hope that his visit to London would lead to further useful meetings that would enhance cooperation in all areas.
