Tatiana Petrazzi, chairwoman of the Election Commission, said that 11,270 of the total of 34,550 voters had taken part in the elections.
Four out of the total of 75 Italian communities did not take part in the elections mostly due to technical reasons.
Seventy of 120 candidates were elected to the 75-seat Assembly, with the five remaining seats to be filled by deputies from the four communities which did not organise the elections. It is expected that elections in the four communities will be repeated.
The founding session of the Assembly must be called by July 22.
Each Italian community in Croatia and Slovenia elects one deputy to the Assembly, and the maximum number of deputies to be elected in one community is six.
