ZAGREB, June 2 (Hina) - The parliamentary opposition endorsed in
Friday's discussion a Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) draft conclusion aimed at
binding the Government to state in the bills it sends to Parliament regulations
which significantly change the content of those acts. The
opposition said that after Parliament passed a law the Government often changed
its essence with regulations, without having informed the deputies of them
when the law was being adopted.
The Government recommended that Parliament do not adopt the HSS
conclusion. Not one deputy of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) took
part in the discussion.
Parliament also briefly discussed a final bill for the ratification of
a contract on the establishment of a European laboratory for molecular
biology.
