PRISTINA, May 25 (Hina) - A NATO reconnaissance aircraft crashed
near Mazgit, a village near Pristina, on Wednesday evening but both pilots
sustained only light injuries, said the spokesman for the NATO-led Kosovo
Force, Colonel Pio Sabeta. The accident occurred about eight
kilometres north of Pristina's airport. Sabeta declined to give details about
the aircraft or the pilots' nationalities.
The AP news agency and Kosovo television said the plane was a U.S.
Cessna 337 and that both pilots were Americans. AP quoted witnesses as saying
the plane first got entangled in electric wires and then crashed into a
field.
