Tourism, infrastructure projects, industry, entrepreneurship, and notably new energy sources, are economic areas of Croatia in which Spanish business people are interested in investing, while Croatia is interested in Spain's experience in obtaining and using European Union pre-accession funds, Vukelic said afterwards.
The Spanish delegation was comprised of representatives of significant companies interested in doing business and investing in Croatia because of the prospect of Croatia's EU membership, said Gomez.
Croatian-Spanish trade is low given the interest and the possibilities and recorded a mild drop last year, Vukelic said, adding this visit was expected to intensify cooperation.
One of the first steps will be cooperation in the use of EU preaccession funds and Spanish experts in this field will visit Croatia in July, said Gomez.
