Revenue in the first three months of the year was 28.7 million kuna, down 11.2 per cent from the same time in 2005, while expenditure went down 7.4 per cent to 24.9 million kuna.
Croatian Railways expects the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation on the pan-European rail corridor VC, signed on Wednesday, to increase the transhipment volume in Ploce Port from two million to seven million tonnes of cargo annually. The biggest increase is expected in the transport of cargo from and across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The majority owner of Ploce Port is the state, specifically the Croatian Privatisation Fund and the Croatian Pension Insurance Bureau, which hold a 61.2 per cent interest.
