The two officials agreed that the power industry, transport and infrastructure, environmental protection and tourism were some of the sectors where the two countries could promote cooperation.
Tlapa supported Croatia's efforts in negotiations with the EU, offering the help and experience of Czech negotiators, the Croatian ministry said in a statement.
He underlined the great interest of Czech companies in cooperation, particularly in the sectors of investment and services.
Vrankovic called on Czech business people to use the northern port of Rijeka more considering its good connections with Central and South European countries.
The meeting between the two officials was part of preparations for the first session of the two countries' joint committee on a memorandum of cooperation, to be held in Prague this autumn.
