ZAGREB, May 18 (Hina) - The Ministry of Environmental Protection, Regional Planning and Construction on Thursday continued with the demolition of illegally built houses on the island of Vir in Smratina and Slatina bays, the ministry
said in a statement.

Regional Planning and Construction on Thursday continued with the demolition of
illegally built houses on the island of Vir in Smratina and Slatina bays, the
ministry said in a statement. Six facilities - three apartment
houses owned by Hungarian investors and three smaller facilities owned by
Croatian nationals, were being prepared for demolition and dismantled.
All six facilities were built without the necessary construction
permits in the area of 70 metres from the sea, where construction works are
prohibited. The removal will start today after all preparations are carried
out.
