Speaking on behalf of the club of deputies of the Croatian Democratic Assembly of Slavonia and Baranja (HDSSB), Glavas said that Osijek-Baranja County police chief Vladimir Faber had stopped some murder investigations.
"The line of responsibility for those murders does not lead to me but to my superior," said Glavas.
Since at the time in question he was Glavas's superior as the president of the Osijek Crisis Centre, Seks concluded that Glavas was alluding to him.
Speaking on behalf of the HDZ club of deputies, Seks said that as Crisis Centre president, he had been responsible for overall performance and direction but that a military commander had been in charge of arms.
Seks said that the ministries of the interior and defence had been excluded from the Crisis Centre.
"Therefore, the allusion to someone's possible failure to report something in accordance with command responsibility is very transparent," said Seks.
Regarding accusations that this was a politically rigged trial because Glavas had parted ways with the HDZ, Seks underlined that neither the HDZ deputies nor the party as a whole had in any way influenced the launching of criminal proceedings.
"The attempted change of government in Osijek and the (Osijek-Baranja) County is not a reason which would motivate the HDZ to fabricate criminal proceedings, an investigation, organise an investigation or instrumentalise the State Prosecutor's Office in organising criminal proceedings against Branimir Glavas," said Seks.
He once again expressed his regret about everything and reiterated that he had no information that in 1991 Glavas had been in anyway involved with crimes the State Prosecutor's Office suspected him of.
