"I hope that Belgrade took the warning from Brussels seriously and that it will solve this problem," Sanader said at the margins of the summit of the Southeast European Cooperation Process.
EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn decided on Wednesday to suspend the Stabilisation and Association negotiations with Serbia and Montenegro because the country is not cooperating with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
Rehn said he received a detailed report this morning from ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte about Belgrade's cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague, saying that the assessment was negative.
The EU Enlargement Commissioner said negotiations could be resumed as soon as Belgrade established full cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
