The council, consisting of representatives of the government, employers and trade unions, concluded that the draft was not in the interests of Croatian employees, and that Bulgaria would abandon the present system of quotas for the employment of foreigners after joining the European Union.
Ivan Tomac, acting president of the SSSH trade union federation, was elected new GSV chairman today. He announced that the issue of labour migration would be included on the agenda of one of the next sessions of the Council.
