The chief donors were the European Commission, which pledged EUR 55 million, and the US Agency for International Development, the German government and the World Bank, which together donated EUR 25 million.
The Kosovo government and the UN Mission in Kosovo presented to the donors a document on medium-term investment which identifies development priorities in the energy and mining sectors. The document was prepared at the request of the European Commission.
According to incomplete data, international institutions have so far invested at least USD 2 billion in Kosovo's infrastructure.
