Speaking to the press in parliament, they said the Committee informed them that their complaint had been referred to the Council for the Civilian Supervision of Security Services.
Declining to explain on what grounds they maintained that secret services had been processing them, Skare-Ozbolt and Moric said they would inform the public of everything upon receiving a reply from the Council.
Asked why they had not taken such a step before, they said they had been collecting evidence.
Skare-Ozbolt and Moric mentioned their complaint while voicing objections to a bill on the security and intelligence system which they said the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) was using "to retain control of secret services so that they could abuse them for political ends".
The two officials said the DC would move many amendments to the bill, including one which would stipulate a deadline within which the Council for the Civilian Supervision of Security Services and the Committee on Home Affairs and National Security would have to reply to citizens' complaints.
