The two PMs are scheduled to discuss Sanader's initiative, that was supported at a recent meeting of the EU foreign ministers in Salzburg, namely that a Southeast European free trade zone be set up as part of an enlarged and modified CEFTA, to include Moldova and possibly Ukraine.
Popescu-Taricean is expected to inform Sanader of his government's initiative to launch negotiations on the adoption of a free trade agreement. The Romanian government wants the negotiations to be launched at a high-level meeting to be held in Bucharest in early April.
The two PMs will also talks about cooperation in the economy and the state of affairs in Southeast Europe.
