The issue of Croatians holding savings accounts in Ljubljanska Banka should not be solved as part of talks on succession to the former Yugoslavia, because it is about a legal relationship between the bank and its clients and the government will insist that all depositors of Ljubljanska Banka be given back their savings, Sanader said in a comment on the document published on Slovene foreign ministry's web site.
He added that the Croatian foreign ministry would respond to the document.
The PM also commented on other initiatives by the Slovene ministry, including initiatives regarding the issue of Savudrija Bay.
He called on the Slovene government to settle the issue in the spirit of good neighbourly relations and have it solved before an international judicial institution.
Slovenia will not achieve anything by lobbying and threatening Croatia with obstructing its EU entry until the issue is settled, Sanader said.
