The meeting was attended by the ambassadors of Hungary and Italy and a minister plenipotentiary from the Slovene Embassy, according to a press release from the Parliament's Public Relations Office.
The Hungarian and Slovene officials spoke of their countries' experiences before joining NATO, and stressed that Croatia should intensify the public debate on the matter.
Another topic discussed was dual citizenship and how this issue is regulated by the European Convention on Dual Citizenship and bilateral treaties.
Pusic announced a round-table discussion on Croatia's migration policy strategies for 2006 and 2007, which is due to take place in the Croatian Parliament. The discussion will focus on daily cross-border migrations, an issue of importance to the neighbouring countries.
