PRISTINA, Jan 26 (Hina) - The European Union High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, who arrived in Pristina on Wednesday evening to attend the funeral of Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova, late last night met the UN Civil Administrator in Kosovo, Soren Jessen Petersen,

Petersen informed Solana of the situation in Kosovo and attempts to secure stability after Rugova's death and at the time when local officials were preparing the election of the new chief executive of the transitional government in Kosovo.

Early on Thursday, the EU High Representative met the coordinator for the task force of the Kosovo delegation for talks on the status of the UN-run province, Blerim Shalja, The task force was set up by the late Kosovo president last year.
