ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Mondayreceived the Chilean Senate Speaker, Sergio Romero Pizarro, for talkson the development of the Chilean-Croatian relations, the Office ofthe Croatian President stated in a press release.
ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Monday received the Chilean Senate Speaker, Sergio Romero Pizarro, for talks on the development of the Chilean-Croatian relations, the Office of the Croatian President stated in a press release.

President Mesic expressed belief that the official visit of the Chilean Senate chairman would give an impetus to the enhancement of bilateral relations. In this context they also discussed a possibility for the establishment of a direct airline connection between Croatia and that Latin American country.

Romero Pizarro spoke about President Mesic's visit to Chile last year, assessing the visit as very significant for the development of the Chilean-Croatian ties.
